Hey there & welcome to Grammar Gossip! My name is Rebecca Petitti and I’m a PhD student in Rhetoric and Composition at UMass Amherst. While carrying out my own studies, I also work as a teaching associate in the Writing Program, teaching College Writing. I started this blog as a way to “teach grammar.” While I am a firm believer that good grammar does NOT equal good writing, it’s something I’m expected to teach my students in a college writing classroom. Instead, I’m letting them do it! These pages will consist of posts from my own students, as they work through some of the most common grammatical struggles. The students become the experts, and by the end of the semester, we have a fabulous resource for the future. I hope you enjoy!

*Note: Some posts will be attributed to their authors, while others are published anonymously. These choices were made individually by each student, based on their preference.
